Accessibility Statement

What Are we Doing with Accessibility?

We incorporate website accessibility standards into the design and maintenance of our website to ensure access for all people regardless of ability or method of access. To help us make our website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels (A, AA and AAA) and we’ve chosen Level A as the target for our website.

Accessibility on CBRT

The Colorado Basin Roundtable makes available the One Click Accessibility widget that is powered by a dedicated server. The software allows the site to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

Enabling the Accessibility Menu

The CBRT’s’ accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the menu icon that appears on the lower left corner of the page. After triggering the menu, please wait a moment for the menu to load in its entirety.

Disclaimer

The Colorado Basin Roundtable continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on the CBRT’s’ website fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.

Additional Accessibility Assistance

If you are experiencing difficulty with any content on the CBRT’s’ website, widget, any of its services or require assistance with any part of our site or software, please contact us during normal business hours as detailed below and we will be happy to assist. Additionally, these websites offer these tips for optimizing your computer and browser to improve your online experience.

If you are looking for mouse and keyboard alternatives, speech recognition software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking may help you navigate web pages and online services. This software allows the user to move focus around a web page or application screen through voice controls. If the recommendations above do not meet your needs, we invite you to contact us for assistance.
